Filently is developed and operated in Switzerland. Filently GmbH is registered in Frauenfeld, canton Thurgau. All core engineering happens here.

Filently handles AI responsibly

We believe in using AI responsibly and with full transparency. Here is exactly what runs under the hood and what we do with your data.

Hosting: Filently is a SaaS product. All document processing — OCR and AI classification — takes place exclusively in Switzerland and the EU. Filently does not transfer any document data to the United States. If you use Google Drive, Google authentication is part of that connection. This is a service you have chosen as your storage provider. Filently has no influence over Google's infrastructure. See our full list of subprocessors →

Level: We build on top of established foundation models and extend them with our own Swiss-developed classification and naming logic.

AI technologies used: Large Language Models (LLMs) and multimodal AI for document identification, classification, and naming.

Model origin and type: We use commercially available closed-source foundation models via API. No proprietary foundation models are operated in-house.

Fine-tuning or customization: We do not fine-tune or retrain models. Model behavior is shaped through structured prompting and our own classification logic — that is where Filently's engineering work lives.

AI training on your data: Your documents are never used to train AI models — neither by Filently nor by our model providers.
