Maximum file size

The maximum file size you can upload depends on your plan:

Plan

Max file size

Personal

50 MB

Professional

100 MB

Teams

100 MB

Founding Member

100 MB

Files that exceed your plan's size limit will be rejected during upload.

Documents must contain readable text

Filently processes the content of your documents to determine proper naming and filing. This means your documents need to contain meaningful, readable text.

Files without meaningful text content (such as vacation photos, screenshots of graphics, or blank pages) will be rejected because Filently cannot determine how to name or file them.

Scanned documents and images are fully supported. Filently uses OCR (optical character recognition) to extract text from scanned PDFs, photographed documents, and image files. As long as the document contains readable text, it will be processed successfully.
