Custom Filing Instructions: browse your folders level by level after you type @

In your Custom Filing Instructions, you type @ and then part of a folder name. Filently suggests the folders that match. This works well when you know the name. When you do not, or when many folders share a name across different branches, the flat list does not help you find the right one.

Filently will add a second way to pick a folder, like a file explorer:

  • Type @ alone, and you see only your top-level folders, sorted by name.

  • Pick one, and the list opens its subfolders, sorted by name.

  • Go one level deeper each time until you reach the folder you want.

Typing a name to search stays as it is. Browsing is for the times you need to look around first.
